2nd Annual Docklands Book Sale hailed a great success.

A record turnout of bookish bargain hunters turned out to support all older people living in the Docklands. With thanks to all who volunteered before and during the event and to those who turned out in their droves in search of holiday reading!

Our CEO Linda Desmond is seen above at the launch with (from left) Docklands Senior Forum Chairman Derek Murphy, DDDA Board Member Donaill Curtin and Care Local President John Lonergan, who launched the event.

NCI Gerontology

Our partnership with NCI in the Docklands is proving a big success

Twenty-five volunteers are attending a Fetac Level 6 course in Gerontology, in return for befriending an older people in need of companionship.

Our befrienders will will use their experiences to further help the most vulnerable and isolated of Dublin's older community.
